An autographed T-shirt has arrived in Shimoda City, Shizuoka Prefecture, from a surfing representative who participated in the Tokyo Olympics. The T-shirts were sent by the national teams of both the US and Japanese surfing teams. This was given as a thank-you to the junior high school students in Shimoda City, the host town of surfing, which became the official competition from this tournament, and delivered the national flag with a message of support to both countries. Autographed T-shirts from the medalists of both teams will be displayed in sequence at four junior high schools in the city. The four schools will be integrated next spring, but the new school will have the second surfing club in the country.
