The men’s long jump has been a staple in the Olympic athletics program since the start of the Summer Olympics in 1896. At the Stockholm 1912 Olympics, thirty long jumpers from thirteen nations competed, with Albert Gutterson 🇺🇸 from the United States winning with a distance of 7.60 meters. At the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Miltiadis Tentoglou 🇬🇷 from the Greek team secured the gold medal in the men’s long jump with a distance of 8.41 meters. 🥇
