Traffic regulations associated with the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games

At the Hachioji Main Line tollgate on the Chuo Expressway, the traffic system management (TSM) is adjusting the inflow traffic to Tokyo in conjunction with the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Traffic system management (TSM) is to reduce the overall traffic volume by traffic demand management (TDM), and then implement effective traffic control and traffic restriction in places where traffic congestion is expected on the road. By doing so, it is an effort to maintain smooth traffic. In order to transport the people involved in the Games safely and smoothly, we will reduce the traffic volume in the city center area, restrict traffic at the tollbooth on the main line, and gradually implement regulations such as closing the entrance according to the traffic volume.
