Emma Twigg is a successful New Zealand rower who was born on March 1, 1987. She won the world title in the single sculls in 2014 and won the gold medal at her fourth Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021. She had previously finished ninth at the 2008 Olympics and fourth in 2012 and 2016. After two brief withdrawals from rowing to study and after the disappointment of 2016, she returned in 2018 and won silver at the 2019 World Championships, crowning herself with her long-awaited Olympic medal. 🇳🇿🏅
