Caeleb Remel Dressel, an American swimmer, is known for his success in the short freestyle and butterfly events. He won two gold medals at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and five gold medals in Tokyo in 2021, improving the world record in the 100m butterfly to 49.45 seconds. Dressel holds several world records and has won numerous titles at world championships. After a successful career, he had psychological problems in 2022 and took a longer break from competition, which meant he was unable to qualify for the 2023 World Championships.
