The final of the men’s street skateboarding event at the 2024 Paris Olympics was held, and inaugural champion Yuto Horimai (25) won the gold medal, following his victory at the Tokyo Olympics. Japan’s skateboarding ace Horimai earned a high score of 89.90 points in the free-skating “Run” event, and in the following “Best Trick” event, in which a single trick is competed, he demonstrated the strength of the previous tournament champion by performing difficult tricks. Horimai said, “My biggest motivation is my teammates,” and with his teammates and rivals watching him, he won the gold medal for the second consecutive tournament with a final score of 281.14 points.
