The women’s 200m individual medley preliminaries were held, and Yui Ohashi (Itoman Toshin), who won two gold medals at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and will represent Japan at the Paris Olympics, placed second overall with a time of 2 minutes 15.74 seconds. She advanced to the afternoon final and said, “I think my swimming is good, and I was able to confirm my (feeling) by swimming one lap.”
