“There are learnings from the Paris Olympics. We’ll be changing the 400m team mostly, as we’ll try new athletes,” said AFI Chief Adille Sumariwalla.
➡️The 28-member Indian contingent to the Paris Olympics brought home just one medal (Neeraj Chopra) and only two finalists.
➡️The biggest disappointment? The 4x400m men’s relay team of Muhammed Anas, Rajesh Ramesh, Amoj Jacob, and Muhammed Ajmal.
➡️After their Asian record-breaking sub-3 min feat at the World Athletics Championships, expectations were high.
➡️But they failed to reach the finals in Paris, finishing 4th, and Japan reclaimed the Asian record!
