Good and weak games are constantly alternating at BVB; in the league and especially in away games, the black and yellow are currently lagging far behind their own standards. Why is that? What role does the changed transfer strategy play – and what role does Jürgen Klopp’s legacy play? In the new episode Bolzplatz we took a closer look at Borussia Dortmund’s situation: https://kurz.zdf.de/4zO8/ sportstudio on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/sportstudio/ sportstudio on TikTok https:/ /www.tiktok.com/@sportstudio.de sportstudio on WhatsApp https://kurz.zdf.de/6Em3U/ The 14,830 spectators in the Holstein Stadium saw both teams with a lot of offensive drive game started. Augsburg struck with the first chance: Samuel Essende beat Kiel defender Marko Ivezic on the left wing. His pass found its way to Alexis Claude-Maurice, who scored down the right to give the visitors the lead. The Kiel team took the early goal with composure. A little later, Shuto Machino put the ball back on the free Rosenboom, which equalized for Kiel. The hosts benefited from the injury-related substitution of Keven Schlotterbeck. The FCA defense then seemed unsettled and Kiel turned up the heat – and everything worked. Once again it was Machino who broke through on the left and his slightly deflected cross found its way to Harres, who headed in to take the lead. FC Augsburg was completely out of control. The Kiel team, on the other hand, seemed inspired – and followed up. Harres shot from about 20 meters and scored. FCA goalkeeper Labrovic didn’t look good with the central shot. The Kiel frenzy still didn’t end. The Japanese Machino increased the score for the hosts with a free kick and caused complete ecstasy in the Kiel Arena. Even after the break, Augsburg tried in vain to find a solution in the attack. Kiel let the opponent take control of the game and waited for a counterattack. Phil Harres (68′) almost extended Kiel’s lead after a free kick. Referee Tobias Welz ruled the game offside after a VAR intervention. The final point was by far the strongest player on the pitch. Machino made it 5-1 and completed what was probably the best game in Kiel’s young Bundesliga history. The lineups: Holstein Kiel: Weiner – Ivezic, Geschwill, Komenda (73.
