Shohei Ohtani, star pitcher and hitter for the Los Angeles Dodgers, shared some exciting news with his fans on Instagram. The 30-year-old MLB sensation announced that his wife, Mamiko Tanaka, is pregnant with their first child. Ohtani posted a sweet picture featuring a pink onesie, baby sneakers, and an ultrasound, alongside their dog Decoy. The caption read, “Can’t wait for the little rookie to join our family soon!”
While keeping his relationship out of the public eye, Ohtani previously revealed in February that he and Tanaka had gotten married. The couple’s baby news comes just two months after Ohtani helped lead the Dodgers to their eighth World Series title and his third MVP award.
In December 2023, Ohtani signed a record-breaking 10-year, $700 million deal with the Dodgers, further solidifying his legacy. This news is just the latest chapter in what has been an incredible year for Ohtani.
