At the age of 18, he participated in a triathlon in earnest. From December 2018, he participated in the World Cup and World Series as a member of the Japan team (acquired Japanese nationality in April 2021). He has competed in the Olympics for the second consecutive Tokyo and Paris tournament. At the 2024 WTCS Yokohama Tournament, he finished in 7th place, the highest ranking in all-time for a male Japanese player. Starting this season, he will also be competing in IRONMAN 70.3 in conjunction with his challenge to the Los Angeles Olympics.
