WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Kyle Tucker and Seiya Suzuki each had two hits and 1 homerun in the Chicago Cubs’ 7-4 triumph over the Athletics, their second win in as many nights.
Suzuki blast a 3-run homerun over the center field wall off pitcher Luis Servino in the first inning, while Tucker hit his 5th homer, a solo effort, at the expense of Servino in the third inning.
The Cubs (4-4) finished the night with nine hits. Chicago has 25 runs scored and 30 hits over two nights at Sutter Health Park. The Cubs have produced a total of 7 runs in the first innings of the games.

Behind 5-4 in the third inning, Athletics catcher Shea Langeliers hit a bomber over the left field wall to pull within one run but that would be the last scoring activity for the team at its temporary home.
Cubs’ pitch-hitter Dustin Turner’s hit up the middle off pitcher T.J. McFarland in the 7th inning knocked in a run to give Chicago the 7-4 margin. Steele (2-1) finished the evening giving up seven hits, four runs and striking out six batters in six innings.
Severino (0-1), who settled down after Suzuki’s homer, gave up six hits, five runs and struck out five players in six innings. Ryan Pressley gets the save for Chicago.
