Catharina Weiss is a wheelchair basketball athlete, a business law student, and a member of Germany’s national team 🏀
At 12 years old, she travelled to London to watch the 2012 Paralympic Games where she saw Germany win their first gold medal in 28 years- sparking that dream to one day compete at the Paralympics one day 💭⚡️
She has competed in Para swimming and mono-skiing at age 9 but fell in love with wheelchair basketball, ultimately dedicating her time to only that 🙌🏼
She achieved her dreams of competing in the Paralympic games in 2020 and 2024🤩
She was diagnosed with cancer when she was 2 months old and has been using a wheelchair since she was a young child. She said, “Wheelchair basketball had a great impact on my life and on finding myself, especially being confident with myself and my disability.” 🤭 Did you guess correctly !?
