he Angels opened their series against the Oakland A’s with a strong 7–4 win at Angel Stadium.
Yusei Kikuchi was locked in, tossing 7⅓ innings of one-hit baseball while striking out five. The Angels’ offense strung together timely hits in the 3rd inning, scoring three runs with back-to-back RBI singles from the top of the lineup.
Oakland made it a one-run game in the 8th, but the Angels immediately responded with late insurance runs, including a sac fly and a two-run single to put things out of reach. The bullpen closed the final innings efficiently to secure the win.
