The 2025 Gyulai István Memorial in Budapest held on Tuesday, August 12, lived up to the hype, as track and field fans had a chance to witness remarkable performances. But I must say one of the highlights of the meet was the women’s 100 meters where we witnessed a change of guard. See, this race brought together some of the fastest women in the world. We had 10-time world champion, the legendary Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce. She was coming into as her first appearance since the Jamaican National Senior Championships in June, where she earned qualification for the upcoming World Championships in Tokyo with a season-best time of 10.91 seconds.
