BREAKING: Jakob Ingebrigtsen is finally injury-free and confirmed for the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo!
After months of battling an Achilles tendon injury that kept him out of competition since March, the Norwegian running superstar is ready to return to the track. This will be his first outdoor competition of the entire 2025 season.
In this video, we cover:
✅ Ingebrigtsen’s injury recovery journey from his Achilles problems
✅ His missed Diamond League events throughout 2025
✅ Training updates from his altitude camp in St. Moritz
✅ What to expect at the World Championships (September 13-21)
✅ His chances despite lack of outdoor racing this season
✅ Comparison with his indoor dominance (World Indoor Champion in 1500m & 3000m)
The Olympic 5000m champion and world record holder hasn’t competed outdoors since winning double gold at the World Indoor Championships in Nanjing back in March. Despite missing the entire Diamond League circuit and being denied entry to the Zurich finale, Ingebrigtsen remains determined to compete at the highest level.
“It’s maybe not ideal to run a World Championships without races in your legs, but so be it. I’m going to run. This is what I live for. To compete,” Ingebrigtsen stated.
Will this extended break hurt his chances, or will the Norwegian phenomenon prove that class is permanent? Find out our analysis of his World Championship prospects and what events he might target in Tokyo.
