I talked about a possible return of Ko Itakura to Gladbach – a topic that has moved many fans. Gladbach apparently really looked into bringing the former central defender back in the winter, but the deal ultimately fell through.  Itakura was most recently active for Ajax Amsterdam after moving from Gladbach to Amsterdam in the summer of 2025 for around €11 million.  According to kicker, Gladbach’s sports director worked to bring Itakura back – but for various reasons that was not possible.  Nevertheless, the topic remains exciting in the summer – I would be very happy if he came back and could help the team with his experience.
