Post-match press conference with Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler after Brighton & Hove Albion’s 1-0 defeat to Arsenal at the American Express Stadium in the Premier League.
Bukayo Saka scored the only goal in the 9th minute as Arsenal took all three points in Falmer.
Hurzeler says he was proud of Brighton’s effort and felt his side deserved more from the game, insisting there was only one team that tried to play football. He repeatedly questioned Arsenal’s game management and time wasting, called for the Premier League to set clearer limits for referees, and said he would never try to win in that way.
He also gave a positive early update on Kaoru Mitoma, saying the injury does not look serious but he will need a scan, confirmed Solly March missed out with a minor muscle issue, and defended the performances of Joao Pedro and Carlos Baleba despite the defeat.
