Seiya Suzuki is undergoing an MRI in his right knee to determine the extent of his injury at the World Baseball Classic. An MRI is ordered to evaluate soft tissue structures like ligaments, tendons, cartilage, as well as detect bone bruising. Right now the Cubs are waiting on the result to determine the severity of the injury and the next steps. He was able to leave under his own power at time of injury but ultimately the imaging results will determine whether this is a minor confusion or something more structurally significant.
