Seiya Suzuki, first hit of the season…Return from IL

Cubs 0-2 Pirates (10th, Chicago) U.S. Major League Baseball Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki (31) returned from the injured list (IL) to the major leagues and played in the game against the Pirates as “number 5, right wing”. He had one hit and one walk in three at-bats, including his first hit of the season. Suzuki injured his “posterior cruciate ligament” in his right knee while attempting to steal second in the World Baseball Classic (WBC) quarterfinal match against Venezuela in March.
