Tokyo 2020: Indian badminton star PV Sindhu hs crashed into the knockout stages of the tokyo olympis. PV Sindhu defeated Hong Kong’s Cheung Ngan Yi 21-9, 21-16 to reach the round of 16. With staright sets victory in both the sets Indian star topped group J. Only the top player from each group could qualify for the pre quarter finals.With this victory world number 7 and sixth seeded player PV Sindhu has now defeated Cheung six times in a row. The 26 year old Indian star will now face Denmark’s world number 12 Mia Blichfeldt, who was the top player in group I. Sindhu has a 4-1 head-to-head record against Blichfeldt.
