The defense has filed a quasi-appeal to the Tokyo District Court against the decision not to grant bail to the former chairman of publishing giant Kadokawa, who was indicted for bribery in a corruption case surrounding the Tokyo Olympics. Former chairman of “KADOKAWA” Tsuguhiko Kadokawa (79) asked Haruyuki Takahashi (78), former director of the Organizing Committee, for assistance in selecting tournament sponsors. He has been charged with giving a bribe of about 69 million yen. Defendant Kadokawa requested bail, but the Tokyo District Court decided not to grant bail on the 6th. In response, Kadokawa filed a quasi-appeal to the Tokyo District Court on the morning of the 7th, dissatisfied with the decision. In the future, the judge will make a decision on bail again.
