A lawyer has filed a second bail request with the Tokyo District Court for the former chairman of major publishing company KADOKAWA, who was indicted for bribery in a corruption case surrounding the Tokyo Olympics. Former chairman of “KADOKAWA”, Tsuguhiko Kadokawa (79), asked former director of the organizing committee, Haruyuki Takahashi (78), to take advantage of the sponsor selection, and received about 69 million yen. He is accused of giving a bribe of yen. Kadokawa’s lawyer requested bail on the 5th of this month, but the Tokyo District Court decided to dismiss it, and the quasi-appeal filed against the decision was also dismissed.
