2021 Tokyo Olympic women’s gymnastics bronze medalist Mai Murakami and others visited Kawauchi High School in Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima Prefecture and talked about the importance of setting goals and taking on challenges. On November 15, 2021 Tokyo Olympic women’s individual floor floor bronze medalist Mai Murakami and 1984 Los Angeles Olympic men’s gymnastics gold medalist Koji Gushiken visited Kawauchi High School. Murakami retired after winning a gold medal at the World Championships after the Olympics and is now a coach at her alma mater, Nippon Sport Science University.
