Team South Africa has it’s first gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics. Tatiana Schoenmaker swam the perfect race to win gold, and break the world record, in the 200 metres breaststroke. She was behind American Lily King, who’s record she broke, for the first 150 metres, before powering ahead on the last length to win in a time of 2 minutes 18.95 seconds.
