A momentous 11 minutes in British BMX cycling history, which saw Team GB secure two medals, peaked as Beth Shriever won an unforgettable gold medal.
Shriever got off to a flying start and led the race from the first bend but had to hold off a late charge round the last corner and down the final straight from defending champion Mariana Pajon, crossing the line just 0.090 seconds ahead of the Colombian.
