Ayase Ueda’s Two Goals Make the Garuda Squad Wait for a Miracle to Qualify for the Round of 16.

The Indonesian national team is just waiting for a miracle to qualify for the last 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup. Dueling with Japan in the third match of the group D phase, the Garuda squad lost 3-1. Three goals were scored in the Indonesian goal from Ayase Ueda and an own goal from Justin Hubner. Indonesia’s consolation goal was created by Sandy Walsh. With this victory, Japan also accompanied Iraq to the last 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup, where they also managed to win their final match with Vietnam 3-2. The match between the Indonesian National Team and Japan itself took place at Al Thumama Stadium, Doha, Qatar, Wednesday (24/1/2024).
