A pep rally was held on the 8th for Tatsuya Murasa, a third-year student at Chukyo University Chukyo High School who was selected as the youngest member of Japan’s swimming team at the Paris Olympics at the age of 17. Murasa earned a ticket to Paris by placing third in the 200m freestyle at the national team selection event in March. He was selected as a member of the 800m free relay for the national team. This is Murasa’s first time participating in the Olympics, as well as his first time overseas.
