The Nike Zoom GT Run was designed with a high degree of performance in mind, thanks to the double-stacked zoom in the forefoot and the full-length React sockliner/midsole. And today, on the first day of the Summer Games, the silhouette is truly getting into the mood, exhibiting each of the five Olympic rings’ colours.
The hue pays homage to the entire event in no uncertain terms. The entire midsole is dressed in blue, red, yellow, and green, with each colour gradating slightly where it meets. The upper, on the other hand, is significantly more subdued: the synthetic along the heel, collar, and eye stay feels synthetic, while the forefoot threads feel like lace. The Swoosh and lace unit, which are dressed down in a dark black tone, complete the Olympic quintet.
