The final of the men’s street skateboarding event at the 2024 Paris Olympics was held, and inaugural champion Yuto Horimai (25) won the gold medal, following his victory in the Tokyo Olympics. Japan’s skateboarding ace Horimai placed 4th overall with a score of 89.90 points in the free-skating “run” event, but in the following “best trick” event, which is a competition of one trick, he made a huge comeback with a high score of over 97 points. Horimai said, “My biggest motivation is my teammates,” and with his teammates and rivals watching him, he won the gold medal for the second consecutive Olympics with a final score of 281.14 points.
