🌍When Tokyo 2020 was suspended due to COVID19 pandemic, it seemed unachievable to get into the 26 individual rhythmic gymnasts that would finally compete at 2020 (+1) Olympic Games.
🌍 None but them really knows how tough it was for athletes to cope, not only with the daily routines of top elite training, but to maintain at the highest level and wait to see if there would be a chance to reorganize OG and get a quota.
🌍 We all remember those empty stands when music played and these 26 incredible resilient gymnasts performed their routines.
🌍Most of thhese selected olympic athletes are now retired, four have recently repeated the Olympic experience in Paris 2024 (Evita Griskenas, Ekaterina Vedeneeva, Fanni Pigniczki, Lidiia Iakoleva) and 9 are still active in 2025.
