“I personally prefer more compact Games”- Juan Antonio Samaranch said during his IOC presidential campaign, referring to previous Games stretching out way too much.
This is definitely something we, Hungarians, should also pay attention to. He also talks about whether Budapest might bid to host the Games in the future. He also has a strong opinion on the protection of the women’s category. During his campaign, he also stated that “we need to rethink our relationship with the media. They are not our enemy. They are our allies. The media can influence the whole world and what we think about the Olympics. I intend to maintain that when I am president of the IOC, I will be held to account when I am there,” he said about his credo.
