Here’s where I got my info about recurve losing spots:

2. From the world archery article: “The addition of the mixed team format for compound ensures archery maintains its equal gender split AND ATHLETE QUOTA in LA.” So still only 128 Archers overall, including the newly added compounders. Would’ve been nice if they added 128 extra Compound spots to the LA 2028 Olympic Games instead of taking some of the spots from Recurve. But I get how the Olympics wants to have a max number of 10,500 athletes
