Two-time world indoor shot put champion Sarah Mitton joins DyeStat editor Doug Binder to discuss her season and her rise in the sport ahead of this weekend’s Canadian Track and Field Championships presented by Bell, taking place in Ottawa, Ontario. Mitton, who grew up in Nova Scotia, is one of the top athletes in her event globally, and is looking forward to the World Athletics Championships in September in Tokyo. In 2021, Mitton had a disastrous Olympic Games experience in Tokyo and has a chance to redeem herself at Japan National Stadium. She also had a disappointing Olympics in Paris, but has learned and grown from both Olympic Games. She threw a lifetime best 20.68m in March to win the World Indoor title in Nanjing, China.
