The 27-year-old attacking midfielder joins Palace after his contract with Serie A side Lazio expired.
Kamada, who has starred at the highest level for both club and country, will reunite with manager Oliver Glasner at Palace. Under Glasner, Kamada won the UEFA Europa League with Eintracht Frankfurt in the 2021/22 season, scoring five goals en route to the final.
“I’m excited to be joining Crystal Palace and to be working with Oliver – who is a coach I know well – again. I am looking forward to testing myself in the Premier League, and hopefully the club and I can achieve all of our objectives together,” Kamada said.
Chairman Steve Parish expressed his delight, stating, “Daichi is a truly exceptional talent. He has been one of Europe’s best attacking midfielders in recent seasons, and his experience, technical quality, and commitment make him an excellent addition to our already talented squad.”
Kamada’s career has also included stints at Japanese sides Sagan Tosu and J.League U-22, Belgian top-flight side Sint-Truiden, and most recently, a season with Lazio. He has scored seven times in 33 games as a senior international for Japan and earned four caps at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
