Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts discussed several key topics after the Dodgers game, including the plan for Shohei Ohtani, Tyler Glasnow’s latest start, and Blake Treinen’s recent outings.
Roberts confirmed that Shohei Ohtani is expected to return to the lineup soon and that the team has a clear plan for when he will pitch next.
Roberts on Shohei Ohtani’s plan:
“We talked about the plan and I felt good about where he’s at right now.”
Roberts also praised Tyler Glasnow after another strong outing this spring.
The Dodgers manager said Glasnow has been one of the steadiest arms in camp and believes the right-hander is exactly where he needs to be as Opening Day approaches.
Roberts on Glasnow:
“He’s been a steady presence. He’s very focused and I’m really excited about what he’s going to do for us this year.”
Roberts also addressed Blake Treinen’s recent struggles, saying the veteran reliever may be dealing with confidence issues after several inconsistent outings.
The Dodgers hope Treinen can regain his command before the regular season begins.
