Crystal Palace will look to seal a place in their first European final when they host Shakhtar Donetsk in the second leg of their UEFA Conference League semi-final on Thursday, holding a 3-1 advantage from the first leg.

Oliver Glasner’s side took control of the tie with an impressive counter-attacking display in Krakow last week, where goals from Ismaila Sarr, Daichi Kamada and Jørgen Strand Larsen put the Premier League club firmly in command.

Palace now return to Selhurst Park knowing they are within reach of a historic final appearance, but Glasner has warned his team must improve despite their strong position.

The London side have enjoyed a notable run to the last four, beating Fiorentina 4-2 on aggregate in the quarter-finals and progressing through a series of knockout ties after finishing mid-table in the league phase.

Shakhtar, meanwhile, face a difficult task as they attempt to overturn the deficit, with the Ukrainian side needing what would be their first victory on English soil to advance.
