I genuinely think Guillermo Ochoa is the unluckiest player at this World Cup. Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Luka Modrić, Manuel Neuer and Yuto Nagatomo all received FIFA’s special Legacy Patch. Ochoa didn’t. The strange part is that he has been selected for six World Cups with Mexico. However, FIFA only counts tournaments where a player actually stepped onto the pitch. Ochoa never played a single minute in 2006 or 2010, so those tournaments don’t count. That’s why one of Mexico’s greatest players is missing the badge. Do you think FIFA got this right?
