Two-time Olympic champion Faith Kipyegon of Kenya secured her second title in 1500m at the ongoing World Athletics Championship in Oregon.

Faith clocked 3:52.96 seconds for gold beating Gudaf Tsegay of Ethiopia to silver in 3:54.52 seconds while Britain’s Laura Muir took bronze in 3:55.28 seconds.

Faith won her first world title in 1500m at the 2017 world championships in London after the year 2016 Olympic gold in Rio de Janeiro.

In 2019, returning from her maternity leave in the previous year, Kipyegon secured silver before heading to 2020 Tokyo Olympics where she won gold.
