It has been revealed that the former chairman of “AOKI”, who was arrested in a corruption case surrounding the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, gave cash to the former chairman of the organizing committee, Yoshiro Mori (85). In this case, Haruyuki Takahashi (78), a former director of the organizing committee of the Games, was asked by Hironori Aoki (83), the founder of major men’s clothing company AOKI, for convenience in the Olympic sponsorship contract. He was arrested by the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office on suspicion of receiving a bribe of approximately 51 million yen. Afterwards, it was revealed that Aoki had told the Special Investigation Department that he had given cash to Yoshiro Mori, 85, the former chairman of the tournament organizing committee. It is known that both of them met before AOKI decided to sponsor the tournament through the introduction of Takahashi. However, Takahashi is said to have explained to the Special Investigation Department that he has not had any specific discussions with former chairman Mori regarding the selection of sponsors. The Special Investigation Department appears to be carefully confirming the evidence of the statement and the purpose of the cash. In response to the interview, former chairman Mori commented through his attorney, “Mr. Takahashi and others have been arrested, and it is a criminal case, so I will refrain from answering.” ▼TBS NEWS DIG official website https://newsdig.tbs.co.jp/ ▼Please subscribe to the channel! http://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6AG81pAkf6Lbi_1VC5NmPA?sub_confirmation=1 ▼Provide information here “TBS Insiders” https://www.tbs.co.jp/news_sp/tbs-insiders.html ▼Provide video Click here for “TBS Scoop Post” https://www.tbs.co.jp/news_sp/toukou.html
