The Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office has re-arrested the former directors of the organizing committee and newly arrested an executive officer of the advertising company “Ohiro” in the corruption case surrounding the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics. Haruyuki Takahashi, a former director of the organizing committee, is suspected of accepting a bribe from the advertising company “Daihiro” in return for receiving about 15 million yen in cash in return for being selected as a sales partner for Dentsu. The Special Investigation Unit arrested Yoshikazu Taniguchi, an executive officer of Daihiro, on suspicion of bribery and searched his home.
