Krystyna Timanovskaya (24) from Belarus, Eastern Europe, who came to Japan for the Tokyo Olympics but refused to return home, departed from Narita Airport on the morning of the 4th. Timanovskaya told the BBC the day before that his actions were not a political protest. “I love Belarus and I haven’t betrayed it,” he said. “I want to go back to Belarus if I find it safe,” he said.
