Harry Kane put Bayern ahead when he converted a penalty just after the hour mark, and Luis Díaz followed up to secure Munich’s third victory over Leipzig this season and a place in the top four. Bayern started the match with Manuel Neuer in goal; Josip Stanišić, Jonathan Tah, Dayot Upamecano and Alphonso Davies in defense. Joshua Kimmich and Aleksandar Pavlović formed the midfielder duo in a midfield that featured Michael Olise, Serge Gnabry and Díaz, with Kane in command of the attack. In the second half, Konrad Laimer, Jamal Musiala, Leon Goretzka and Hiroki Ito came on to replace Stanišić, Gnabry, Pavlović and Davies.
