I had elbow surgery on October 29th, and was cleared to start pitching after a 6-month checkup, so I started playing catch on April 29th. Last week I threw 25 pitches from 60 feet on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This week I will be throwing 2 sets of 25 balls from the same distance, so I threw a total of 50 balls today. My ball speed is up to 65 mph (approximately 105 km/h), and my average speed is 60 mph (approximately 97 km/h), so it’s still a fairly light catch, but my elbow is in good condition so far, and I’ve been training well, so I think my body as a whole is in good shape. This year, due to various circumstances, I am on the restricted list, so I cannot be on the bench during games, but MLB has given me permission to use team facilities and have contact with staff, so I go to Petco Park quite often, although not every day. I will post again if there is a request. The corgi in the video is the pet dog of Team PT.
