Playing at Houston Stadium, United States, Tuesday (30/6/2026) early morning WIB, the Brazilian national team won in comeback with a score of 2-1. The Brazilian national team tried to dominate the game from the start of the match, but had difficulty facing the Japanese national team’s tight pressing. Brazil had their first chance after just two minutes of the game when Bruno Guimaraes received Casemiro’s pass. However, Guimaraes’ shot from inside the penalty box was blocked by Hiroki Ito and went wide beside the Japanese goal. In the 14th minute, Matheus Cunha’s low kick was parried by goalkeeper Zion Suzuki and only resulted in a corner kick. Two minutes later, Daichi Kamada’s free kick still hit the posse and resulted in a corner kick for Japan. Even though they didn’t control much of the ball, Japan was able to open the scoring in the 29th minute through Kaishu Sano’s goal. Sano intercepted Danilo’s pass and dribbled the ball forward before firing a low shot into the corner of the goal. Behind by one goal, Brazil continued to try to dismantle the Japanese defense which appeared disciplined and solid from the first minute. Brazil had their first shot on target in the 34th minute when Vinicius Jr’s shot went straight at Suzuki. Four minutes later, Cunha’s low kick from outside the penalty box was still heading straight into Suzuki’s arms. There were no threats from Brazil for the rest of the first half, so the score remained 1-0 until the halftime break. Brazil recorded 68 percent possession of the ball in the first half and fired eight shots with two on target. Meanwhile, Japan had 32 percent possession of the ball and recorded one shot on target from four attempts. Entering the second half, Brazil increased the tempo of the game and were more active in sending crosses into the penalty box. Their efforts almost resulted in a goal in the 52nd minute when Guimaraes headed the ball from Danilo’s cross from the right. Luckily for Japan, Suzuki was able to make a brilliant save by parrying Guimaraes’ header. A minute later, Rayan’s cross was headed towards the front of goal by Guimaraes and was met by Casemiro’s header. However, Casemiro’s header hit Takehiro Tomiyasu’s shoulder on the goal line before hitting Suzuki in the face and being cleared by Ito. Brazil was finally able to score an equalizer in the 56th minute through a goal scored by Casemiro. From the left side, Douglas Santos sent a cross to the far post which Casemiro met with a powerful header. Brazil almost went ahead two minutes later when Vinicius’ shot was parried by Suzuki and hit the goalpost. Not wanting to lose, Japan turned threatening in the 64th minute when Ayase Ueda’s hard kick was blocked by Alisson. Gabriel Martinelli finally emerged as Brazil’s hero by scoring the winning goal in stoppage time. This result allowed Brazil to complete their revenge against Japan in October last year and qualify for the round of 16. In the round of 16, Carlo Ancelotti’s squad will face the winner of the match between Ivory Coast and Norway. https://superball.bolasport.com/read/334391772/hasil-piala-dunia-2026-menang-comeback-atas-jepang-brasil-tuntaskan-dendam-dan-lolos-16-besar?page=3 (Tribun-Video.com) VP: RAMA(INTERNSHIP) Uploader : Wening Cahya Mahardika #fifaworldcup2026 #football #worldcup2026 #brasil
