One of the most emotional moments of the FIFA World Cup happens after the final whistle.

After Japan’s dramatic 2–1 defeat to Brazil in the Round of 32, I captured the Japanese national team’s bus leaving the stadium. It’s a rare behind-the-scenes moment that most fans never get to see.

Japan put in a fantastic performance, taking the lead through Kaishu Sano before Brazil fought back with goals from Casemiro and Gabriel Martinelli, whose stoppage-time winner sent Brazil into the next round. Despite the result, Japan earned respect for their discipline, teamwork, and determination throughout the tournament.

Players such as Zion Suzuki, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Hiroki Ito, Ritsu Doan, Daizen Maeda, Junya Ito, Daichi Kamada, and Kaishu Sano gave everything on the pitch until the very end.
