Eintracht Frankfurt has lost feathers in the fight for international places. Against the relegation candidates VfB Stuttgart, the Hessians did not get beyond a 1-1 draw. Eintracht Frankfurt drew 1-1 (0-0) in the home game against VfB Stuttgart on Saturday afternoon. Captain Sebastian Rode made it 1-0 for the Hessians with a deflected shot (55′), Silas equalized for VfB in the 75th minute. As announced, coach Oliver Glasner brought on Rafael Borré for the injured Jesper Lindström, Aurelio Buta started on the right for the injured Ansgar Knauff. Instead, the cold shower: Wataru Endo defended himself in midfield against Djibril Sow, the following counterattack ended up with Silas, who stayed cool on the left side of the penalty area and pushed it into the far corner (75′). A goal that was anything but implied. And that gave VfB a boost, who even played for a win in the closing stages and still had one or two chances. However, it remained 1-1, for Eintracht it is the third winless league game in a row.
