Japanese two-way star Shohei Ohtani attended the Los Angeles Dodgers’ first full team official workout at spring training on Wednesday.
Ohtani, who joined the Dodgers in a historic blockbuster deal worth $700m on a 10-year contract, was seen talking to fellow new signing Teoscar Hernandez.
The Japanese star was seen at batting practice along with the Dodgers stars Freddie Freeman and Mookie Betts.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts admitted that his team will have a bigger target on their back following the marquee signing of Ohtani.
“Certainly, this past offseason what happened as far as the signings and things like that. There’s maybe a little bit of a bigger bullseye.”
