Japanese two-way star Shohei Ohtani reported to Angels spring training in Arizona on Tuesday as he prepares for an eventful pre-season.
Ohtani will have to navigate a new set of rules and the World Baseball Classic where he’ll represent Japan all while ramping up for the final season of his contract with the Angels.
It was a quiet start to spring training for Ohtani on Tuesday. The 27-year-old didn’t workout outside, receiving a massage ahead of Wednesday’s first official workout.
